Hydrastay is a sports supplement catered to endurance athletes, which prevents dehydration during a race and promotes recovery after a race. It comes in the form of a powder which needs to be mixed with water and drank for 3 days in preparation before a race. The logo and packaging needed to allude to the main benefits of using the product as well as appeal to the endurance sports sector.
This logo is representative of the movement of an athlete’s body and highlights the forward motion during a race. The athlete is showcased in the letter 'R' – making him the key focus of the logo. Fonts and colours were carefully considered to represent the hydration aspect of the product, whilst reflecting the high energy sports category.
We were tasked to conceptualise a name, logo and corporate identity as well as a launch campaign for the product. Along with doing the logo design, I took part in the conceptualisation, created print adverts, finished off the packaging designs, created 3D pack shots and did final artwork for the packaging; as well as art directed, proofread and edited copy for the website.
